The Bullied Triangle

It is the triangle’s first day at his new school! The triangle is so excited, but his excitement turns to nervousness when he walks into the main hallway. Everyone at Shape Elementary school has 4 sides or more, except for Triangle. So after shrugging off the feelings, Triangle walked on to put his things in his locker. As Triangle was closing his locker and was about to head to class, Square came up and shoved Triangle, an knocked him over. “Hahaha, you are the only one at this school with 3 sides or less! Loser!” Square says, as he drew the crowd around Triangle. Everyone in the crowd started laughing at Triangle.

That night, Triangle was at home, trying to fall asleep. He has lied to his parents about how his first day at school was awesome. Even though he has been bullied and embarrassed, he lied. The next morning at breakfast, Triangle’s dad was reading the newspaper. The article on the front page was titled, “Hexagon Commits Suicide.” Triangle said to himself, “Maybe I’ll commit suicide?” as he went off to school. Triangle kept thinking about suiciding the entire morning. Later that day, Triangle saw a poster that said “Suicide is not the answer, tell a parent.” The poster inspired Triangle to go speak to someone. He decided to tell his teacher what had happened, who had a meeting with the principle, Triangle’s parents and Square’s parents. Square got suspended for 2 weeks, and when he came back to school, he apologized. In the end, they became friends.
